Game Mechanics
7Scarcity is the heart of the game. With just 1 attempt, every click is meaningful and the game stays exciting throughout the day. Unlimited attempts would destroy the competition and turn it into a volume game instead of a precision one.
The secret moment is a random timestamp generated at 00:00 UTC each day. It can be any instant between 00:00:00.000 and 23:59:59.999 UTC. It is generated using cryptography (AES-256-GCM) and encrypted until the end of the day. Not even admins know the value before the round closes.
Deviation = |secret_moment_ms β your_click_ms|. The result is in milliseconds (ms). For example, if the secret moment is at 14:32:17.500 UTC and you click at 14:32:18.234 UTC, your deviation is 734ms. Smaller deviation = better rank.
An exact millisecond tie is mathematically very unlikely with ms precision. If it occurs, the winner is the player who submitted their attempt first (earlier submission timestamp).
If no user plays on a given day, the prize accumulates and grows by +$1. The round is recorded as "no winner". This can happen early in the game when there are few registered users.
The game runs on UTC (Coordinated Universal Time). A day starts at 00:00 UTC and ends at 23:59:59 UTC. The countdown on the main page shows the remaining time adjusted for your local timezone.
There is no mathematical strategy β the secret moment is truly random and cryptographically secure. However, you can: pick a consistent time of day and commit to it, play when you have fewer distractions, and practice your time perception. It is essentially focus versus luck.
Account
5Registration happens automatically when you first visit the game β you start as a guest player. To save your progress and compete officially, you will be prompted to set an email and password. Registration is free and requires no credit card.
You can view the leaderboard and explore the site without an account. To compete for the prize, you need a free account. Without an account, we cannot enforce the 1-attempt-per-person rule.
Yes, you can change your username in Settings β Account. A username can be changed once every 30 days. Your attempt history stays linked to your user ID, not your username.
Go to Settings β Account β Delete Account. The process is irreversible. Your personal data is removed within 30 days in accordance with GDPR. Aggregate attempt statistics (anonymous) may be retained for analytics.
Click "Forgot password" on the login page and enter your email address. You will receive a reset link valid for 1 hour. If you do not receive it, check your spam folder or contact support.
Prizes
5You receive an email immediately after the round closes. The email contains a unique link to claim your prize. You have 30 days to provide your delivery address. The prize is shipped within 7β14 business days of confirmation.
The prize is always a physical product. The accumulated pool value approximately matches the retail cost of the product we ship β typical categories include consumer electronics, gaming hardware, footwear, audio, and similar. The specific model is selected at fulfilment based on the pool amount and shipping destination. We never send cash directly.
If you do not claim your prize within 30 days (after 3 reminder emails), the prize is forfeited and the pool resets to $1. We strongly recommend enabling email notifications and claiming promptly.
The game accepts players worldwide. Prize delivery is handled internationally. Countries with strict import restrictions may have additional conditions that will be communicated to the winner before confirmation.
After confirming your address, you receive email updates at each stage: confirmation, shipment (with tracking number), and delivery. You can also track the status on your claim page for 90 days.
Technical
5The timestamp is recorded on the server when your request arrives. Players with higher latency have a slight technical disadvantage. The system does not automatically compensate for latency, but variance is typically small (< 50ms on normal connections).
If the request does not reach the server, the attempt is not registered. There is no automatic retry to ensure the 1-attempt-per-day rule. We recommend a stable connection before using your daily shot.
Yes, the game is fully responsive and works on smartphones and tablets. For the best timing precision, we recommend desktop with a mouse. On mobile, touch may add 10β50ms of additional latency.
No. The timestamp is recorded on the server, not your device. Your local clock does not affect the result. What matters is the moment the server receives your click.
The game works on all modern browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge. For the best timing performance, we recommend Chrome or Firefox on recent versions.
Security
4We have multiple layers of protection: IP verification per attempt, bot detection via timing pattern analysis, per-user and per-IP rate limiting, and manual review of suspicious cases. Accounts with a high risk score are automatically flagged for review.
We store only the essentials: email, username, and attempt history (timestamps and deviations). We never sell data. Your IP is stored as an anonymous hash (HMAC) for anti-cheat purposes. You can request export or deletion of your data at any time by emailing privacy@1bulletprize.com.
No. The secret moment is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key generated at runtime and stored separately. Not even administrators can decrypt the value before the round closes. This guarantee is verifiable via the financial audit chain.
Yes. All traffic uses HTTPS/TLS with a valid Let's Encrypt certificate. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Sensitive data (the secret moment) is encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM.
